Folding Beijing is a Hugo award-winning novelette by Hao Jing Fang. Playking Productions commissioned Australian playright Daniel Keene to adapt the novelette into a stage play. Jingfang's extraordinary vision of a hyper-developed future in which three cities coexist in one is brought to life through the vivid story of Lao Dao, a garbage collector who attempts to cross the great divide.
A reading of the play is presented by Malthouse Theatre and directed by Matthew Lutton as a program.of ASIA TOPA 2020.
